In Canvas, you can participate in groups created by your teacher. Often this is done with respect to work that is to be solved or done as a group. The group will get a calendar, a wiki, a discussion tool and some space to save work. The group can write together using Google Docs and can take part in nett meetings with each other. This functions as a mini-course. You have access to your own announcements, pages, people, discussions, files, conferencing and co-operation.

Note: teachers can see everything that occurs and is created in student-led course rooms.

NB! When a teacher creates groups, a group set consists of several groups - notice that you may only participate in one of these groups!

Sometimes a teacher will create groups automatically, and at other times will allow for manual sign up where you can choose your group.

In some instances a group leader will be created for the group. This member has the right to add or remove members or get members from other groups. Note that if you are removed from a group, you will need a teacher or group leader to add you to another group.

NB! Contact your teacher if you experience changes in the group structure so that they know who is handing in group work for the group.
